Check Mate
My painting, Check Mate, is meant to illustrate the power struggle between powerful countries and the governments they create for weaker countries. These weaker countries have no power in making decisions, and so are forced to obey the decisions of the powerful countries. This control over weaker countries results in the destruction of democracy and freedom, leading to the deaths of many people. As people rebel against the puppet governments, they are destroyed. This painting is meant to show the tragic consequences of this game of power.
